Slavery Abolitionist and Women s Rights

The enlightenment thinker were scholars for social and moral thinkers in the 18th century in Europe were talking the critical natural rights that were being taking away from people who were in slavery.  There was an Abolitionists movement to end slavery that was brought to the government.  By the end of the slavery during the 19th century marked a major turn for scholars of thinkers. . How would this make a change for so many people globally? This encourage people to live in style. This create ideas and changes for the women. The women in France were already doing many things that were great contributions to the household, agriculture and working at other jobs such as seamstress. These women wanted to be treated equality and move forward in jobs and careers. Education was important for women.

My daughter went on a vacation to the Bahamas. She told me that the people who worked on the resort only gets paid four dollars an hour. Just last week, I was told they just got an increase up to five dollars an hour. My daughter showed me the beauty of the resort and the high price meals that were absolute wonderful spread of buffet seafood love.  It tells me that the government is not taking care of the workers who work hard. As for their regulation revision (2006) Does that mean the money the government makes it goes to their pockets? Sad to learn in 2016 people in different parts of the world is not like United States. Yes there are still slavery today it is called trafficking sex slaves.

World War and Depression

It seems that war has been pretty much a universal of getting what people wants no matter who is in the way.  As far as I see war has put us all in debt due to the mass corruption in so many government entities. Each time one war is over there is another one going on with stronger and more powerful mass killings of so many people. Not only that but whatever people are left and had survived have years of mental anguish and repairs of a village and communities or even have to move to a safe place. I hate to say this but this makes me so upset.  Even today war continues and for what because they did not get what they want. Government  spending millions of dollars to build stronger, larger weapons and prepared the military peoples for war. With this image it says a hundred words of despair of lost hope for her family that slowly dying.

This picture I have seen before and this was not to long ago of the Great Depression took place. The holocaust, people being starved and dying in large masses in a gas chamber. Why was this build? It was sad to hear how people still to this day can judge an entire community.  How can we help people if there is so much corruption and it is all some type of government.  WWII was a horrible genocide of which there were several evil dictatorship such as Hitler. I really do not understand the purpose of how can one person can deliberate kill millions of innocent people just because Hitler felt some type of way. They say he killed himself and his wife took poison and the guard said they we were together. Of course this guard has changed his story several times throughout the years and said that he did not hear no shots or did not see Hitler. My question is how did this country allowed such evil person to get so evil and to rule for such killing. Of course the dictators spread to China as they built even bigger and stronger tanks and strong militarism. Our world is so beautiful it is sad to learn what had happen during the Great Depression and how the people were put to death.

I can relate to the pastoral people. They helped each other and stayed close but in very small groups.  Women even had a voice and were looked upon as a role models. Of course, women of these glamorous raw life was not simple. Washing of the clothing was by hands, river or spring with a good large rock to scrub the clothing loose. Not to mention the cooking and cleaning was not that easy. It is amazing to learn how people lived and the struggles they had to endure to live life, such as traveling from one place to another. How these people were able to master import and export that is now all over the world. Just for a simple fruit or an exotic plant, what people will pay for, for goods from another country.  I remember growing up and us kids had to use the outdoor potty. Scrub our clothes in a bucket with washboard, rinse in clear water and wring it, until we got a thingabob that squeezed the clothes. Take care of our domesticated animals and the garden. It is a great thing that we did not lose the importance of agriculture and animals that we can love and nurture. Not to mention the changing of tools and how they have learned to use these towards the spread of agriculture and trade. 

With all the new discoveries and documents of what our ancestors have accomplished with very little resources and knowledge is very remarkable. It is like how did they know how the earth have looked like and developed an map that is so beautiful and to the point hundreds of years beyond of no technology of what we have today. How did they know ???

Changing Civilization

I have to say this history book is a great reading. Even though many of these things had happen by one person a group, villagers, nomadic people that is thousands of years ago or even that is happen a around the world. As time past with new generation and the growth of population. I was marvel how much they had accomplished with very little tools. All of these accomplishment came from ideas which is important or not they are the growth of a changing civilizations of to where we are at today. These Ancient people lived so hard to learn and grow crops, fruits, vegetables, nuts with no resources but what they had done and learned from their ancestors as we have learned from ours and as well from other cultures, such as food and clothing. For me it is so important to learn from our history so that we can understand and do better for each and every one. If i lived during that era and it was men that ruled, I would just pretend to be a boy so I could learn all of the rules just to be a stronger person. I want to know things if it be a benefit for my children.

Empire and Peasants

During the Ancient Era for China, they began to shape the political power which were all men. The Chinese rulers wanted administer loyal people instead of the royals to the central state. For the loyal they were examined and were given official positions based on performance.  Now this is how they started to govern and have been doing this for over 2000 years. For the people that lived out side of that political power were the Chinese peasants and they were the vast majority of the Chinese population. With the evidence of the artwork of these Chinese peasants on page 221. To learn on how the farmers landowner lost their land and home and still lived in poverty while working on their old land and it got worse.  This was due to high rent and taxes just like how we are in the modern time. My question is, were these the people that made these types of laws, are like the government's that we have of today society. This would explains why we have to pay high taxes on everything and rent in our modern day world of today. So that means they were basically being robbed by China's dynasty  and city states to build their dynasty and steal however these royal subjects seemed to enjoy the relish life and wanted more. Now that sounds like Donald Trump of my era.
  I also understand what Strayer was talking about the gathering and hunter. I believe that we have been gathering since the beginning of known evidence of humans being on this world.  This would also explain why we would find evidence that are buried due to any types of natural havoc. This is good because we learn what our ancestors life was like.
 When I was growing up I would find arrow heads on my grandfathers land and play cowboys and Indians with my brothers and friends. I did not know any other world but growing up on a farm. I had a black and white television, radio and the old rotary phones and an outhouse. Washing clothes with wash board and hung out to dry all seasons too. Caring for the animals and the crops and garden full of fruits and vegetables. My clothes were hand or machine sewing. This is why I believe Strayer is right about the gathers and hunters. We are natural gathers.

I am watching the Gladiator on History channel right now. What a great movie with Russell Crow.

Late Ancient to Early Classical Era

States and Empires
As per the reading on page 120, the largest empire was that of the Persians, during the 500 B.C.E.  It is amazing on how people have lived during this area with nothing but the materials they had to survive with so many people.  With different cultures, languages, and religions and of course other thing that each other people will learn from each one is pretty much the same as the ones that we live in today the 21st century. The Persians kings were smart and knew who he wanted him to follow him for extra support.  I hate to say this but somewhere during ancient era times, ancestors of ours have been Facebooks, tweeting and Instagram and following each other for years. Until our modern technology took over to make our pattern of life be available forever for our future generation.
Alexander the Great, after his passing the Greek lifestyle has spread to other states.  It seemed during that time that many people who adore him wanted to continue to live the same lifestyle even after his death. How great was this man?
During the growth of the Romans from rags to riches and spread all around the Mediterranean area, this empire for the free man gave them too much power.  There were many slaves that were working for their master to build carriages, make weapons and armors, clothing, fruits and vegetables and grains has flourished to a great empire.  There were no laws that could protect the members of the free man or husband or would even come to the door to help the victims from the attacker.  If I lived during that time, I would make sure there would be some laws added to protect my family.  It would seemed they had problems such as health and people whom for whatever reason were poor and did what needed for survival.  As for the women’s role, and how they had flourished during the empire growth, to show economic growth as well as maintaining their own home.  Only if they were of wealth, the women, but many were of slaves for the Roman Empire and the states that surrounded. It is amazing how these great empires have grown and fallen.  It was interesting to find out how the Chinese Empire had lasted for so long and the reasoning for the fallen of the Empire.

The movie to watch is THE GLADIATOR, it is about the Ancient Rome, battle, love and lust, revenge and of course the adventure of the lifestyle of the Ancient Romanians.  

Working WIth Primary Sources

My question is How do Scientist, Historians, Archeologist knows how the earth was established or even how long humanlike have been around. There must be for the most part concrete evidences, yes. How can these people established the time and the date as they do for the History of the Universe calendar.  Big Bang January 1st some 13.7 billions years ago. This calendar really took me to another level of How do people know? What type of theories was said on what material they tested for this knowledge. How do they know the time and date too.  I am so blown away by the cosmic calendars. The artifacts that archeologist finds how do they know such dates and the age of them. What type of people and lifestyle they have lived.  This is just amazing.
